As a 43 year old woman, I believed my chances of conceiving a baby with my new husband were slim. IVF had failed twice. I had never tried acupuncture and frankly viewed it in a different light to medical treatment. A year ago I walked into Dr. Allah’s office with severe sciatica pain. I am not a patient that like needles and therefore received laser treatment. I attended 2 sessions advanced to needles and was able to stand up without pain. I continued with treatment and noticed by my 4th treatment the pain was completely gone. I was also treated for pain from knee surgery (over 20 yrs ago) and have not experienced any pain since then. My latest problem in the last 3 weeks I had nerve damage in my mouth. I don’t even know how to begin describing how amazing Dr. Alla Malko and her partner Olga are there just not enough words in the English language. I have been going to acupuncture for over a year now and I’m so happy with the results. They are both so friendly, and inviting and the ambiance in the space is tranquil and calming — the perfect place for healing physically and emotionally.I go to Dr. Malko and Olga to say that they works miracles is the understatement of the century! “Alla’s acupuncture treatments have kept me relatively pain-free for over a year!”
I was made aware that we had an acupuncturist on-site through a work colleague. I have a slightly bulging disk in my lower back that was causing me quite a bit of discomfort all the way down my left leg. So I made an appointment with Alla (Malko), who spent quite a bit of time during that first session on initial intake of information, and followed up with that with an explanation in general terms on the hows and whys of acupuncture as they related to the needles and their placement. The treatment was about 45 minutes, and I felt immediate relief – no pain in the leg. I go on a regular basis for “maintenance” for my back, and most recently, she treated me for what I think is a partial tear in a tendon in my forearm from lifting a bag of 50lb ice melt, and got quite a bit of relief from that pain as well. I’ve needed on occasion to go to see Alla for treatment at her regular office (off-campus) – I highly recommend Alla and will continue my maintenance treatments – rather than taking prescription drugs that wear off after a few hours, Alla’s acupuncture treatments have kept me relatively pain-free for over a year!

The needles are not painful- much thinner than expected. I decided to start acupuncture for intestinal health; at times, for anxiety. She has helped my brother with allergies and back pain, and my mother with migraines. Dr. Malko is very perceptive and knowledgeable. It helps to be open about what you have been feeling and to be open to what she has to say. I look forward to learning new things each time I go such as light therapy and crystals. Her office space is relaxing and welcoming. Also, it is a great opportunity to take some time and just breathe during this busy time in the world.
